Description:
Chief Specials, Model 36 or 50 with adjustable target sights were introduced in 1955. They were brought into production to be a companion gun to the Model 34 2" KIt Gun. Except for a very very faint turn line on the cylinder, this Chief Special is new in the box. The original blue finish will rate 99%+++. There is nice case color remaining on the hammer and trigger. Markings are original. Grips are excellent with very crisp checkering. Number on the grips match the serial number of the revolver. All the other numbers are correct as well. Action is smooth and tight. It works perfectly. Bore in the 3" is about like new. It is bright and shiny. There are no issues. The box is excellent and contains all the originals shipped with these revolvers. The factory letter says this 36-1 shipped from the factory on October 2, 1975, and delivered to G.T. Distributors, Rossville, Ga. It shipped with a three inch barrel, adjustable rear sight, square butt, and blue finish. It was one of 213 units produced in the target configuration between serial numbers 2J3134-2J3347. This group of revolvers were marked with the Model 36-1 designation. This is a super nice piece. It would be almost impossible to improve. I guarantee you will like the revolver joining your collection.  American Arms & Antiques item #2848.  I have many more pictures and will be happy to send a link.   FFL only
