Description:
First of the Colt 9MM Ar's. Very rare, little is known of these early Colts, at this time. Books are now just coming out about the SP1. No books are out on this 9MM, as of yet. Based on my own observation, there is possible, one early slab side 9MM to 1000 to 5000, slab side SP1. These came out right at the end of the slab side & the first pre-ban era. The TA model is the only model I have seen that is slab side. Colt manufactured a 9MM NL model, although all I have observed, are later relieved magazine side. There may be some slab-side. I have not seen any serial number 9mm slab side, above or close to 6000. That does not mean, there are not. This commercial version came out after Colt manufactured for Coast Guard, & later short barrel version, select-fire for the special military forces. This rifle is in excellent condition. It appears to have seen little or no use. Please see the photos. The price is firm. I have seen these priced up to $4500. I will sell this for $2800.
