Description:
Very interesting gun. On top of the breech is a beautifully engraved Roman soldier. Just a head of the barrel is the makers name is deeply chiseled into the barrel. Gun has a 33 inch octagon barrel. Bore is excellent. Hooded rear barrel sight and correct tang sight. Wood has quite an elaborate cheek piece and rear stock is nicely carved. Buttplate, trigger guard and other pieces are deep relief engraved. I don't know if they are cast bronze? Definitely high quality. Delicate set trigger that works very good. Metal has turned a darker color with good finish remaining. Stock is in beautiful condition.
