Description:
This Sharps comes with a Factory Letter by R.L. Moore . It states that it was invoiced August 12, 1876 to L.H. Mayott of Springfield Mass. It had a sporting butt and came with two ball seaters. On August 16 it was returned to the factory and rechambered at no charge. 30 inch light weight barrel retains about 75% blue turning a plum color. Sharp corners. Good markings. Adjustable globe front sight and typical Sharps flip up tang sight. Filler blank in the rear barrel slot. Wood may have been lightly cleaned. Rifle style buttplate with a nickel finish. Receiver retains about 25% case color turning dim. This is a nice clean Sharps "Old Reliable".
