Remington Rolling Block (Numrich) in .45-70 Government. The barrel and wood on this rifle are Numrich Arms manufacture and were produced in the 1970's. The receiver is an original Remington manufacture. These parts were paired together and sold as a kit rifle by Numrich Arms therefore this is a replica rifle with an original receiver. The metal and wood finish are in excellent condition and results in a beautifully restored rolling block. The .45-70 Government cartridge was developed at the U.S. Army's Springfield Armory for use in the Springfield Model 1873. After 150 years, the .45-70 retains great popularity among American hunters, and is still offered by several commercial ammunition manufacturers. .45-70 Government
