Here is your opportunity to shoot and enjoy this beautiful, one of a kind, Winchester Model 1885 chambered in 22 Hornet caliber. The ACGG #24 rifle, The Special Hornet, in the American Gunmakekers Guild annual collaboration showcasing the talents of the members of the guild was crafted by metalsmith Roger Ferrell, stockmaker Al Lind, Engraver Jerome Glimm, accessorized with case and tools by Marvin Huey, and also features a matching Damascus knife with the hornet pattern by A.B.S. Mastersmith Hank Knickmeyer. As its original owner, it has been my pleasure to be its custodian, and I have taken it afield to shoot ground squirrels from my portable bench and bag setup on three occasions. I have fired only 600 rounds at the little critters with excellent results. Accuracy is startlingly good using hand loads, 173 of which are included with the rifle, plus 123 empty cases, all properly labeled and in MTM Case Gard boxes. There are very few, light, handling marks, none of significance, and the chamber, throat, leade, and bore are all in exceptional condition, having been inspected by bore scope.
