This 7mm (7X57mm) Chilean Model 1895 rifle was manufactured by Loewe in Berlin. The 29.6"" barrel has a fair dark bore with visible rifling and scattered light roughness. The gun is a smooth blue-brown overall. The heel of the buttplate is pitted. The Chilean crest is on top of the chamber (weak) and the left side of the receiver is marked MAUSER CHILENO MODELO 1895 over MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN. The receiver, bolt body, and floorplate numbers match with others not matching. The sanded stock is good with wood loss in the butt area and wood repairs in a couple of spots. The swivels and cleaning rod are present. The action functions correctly. This affordable Chilean Model 1895 rifle is ready for your South American or Mauser collection
