Description:
1924 manufactured Winchester Model 12 pump action shotgun in 12 gauge. This Model 12 is in great mechanical condition and features a scarce 28" cylinder choked barrel. This model is similar to the 1897 "brush gun." Most of these have been cut down to riot length over the years, so we rarely see them with the barrel intact. The original blue finish shows honest wear and various scattered handling marks. The walnut stock has a horizontal hairline crack at the wrist (crack is with the grain, doesn't spread with pressure and could be easily repaired). Both the stock and forend show signs of various handling marks and a couple spots of light finish thinning. The bore is bright, with no signs of imperfections or erosion, and the action locks up tight. All mechanical aspects of this Model 12 function 100%. This CYL marked gun would be an excellent donor to convert into a RIOT or Trench gun by simply shortening the barrel to factory length and/or adding a heat shield /bayonet lug. This Model 12 would make a great field, reenactment, or a Cowboy Action Gun.
