Description:
Offered for sale is a very scarce little Civil War pistol. Made by E.A. Prescott circe 1860-1861. Only a few hundred ever made and most were .22 rimfire. This is the very rare .32 rimfire and in extremely fine condition. Action Cycles nicely. Excellent bore. This is the small frame with a 4" barrel. I upgraded the description on this one as I misjudged it at first It appears that it may have been touched up on the barrel and cylinder. If so, a long time ago as it has patina back. The grips I believe are original varnish and never sanded. They are a little shy against the grip straps but are very nice and solid. Saw very limited use. Serial #97 on the bottom of the barrel. Front of the cylinder is handstamped "79". Barrel marked E.A.Prescott, Worchester, Mass. Pat'd Oct. 2, 1860. A rare gun and I have reduced the asking price. THANKS!!!
