Description:
This is a really nice (and rare) example of the Colt Bisley SAA revolver. There were 45,326 Bisley revolvers manufactured by Colt between 1896-1915. This gun was built in 1909 (s/n 308207), with 7.5" barrel and chambered in .32 WCF, with original real ivory grip panels. The gun overall retains much of it's case hardened colors on the frame, hammer and front sight (though fading), as well as most of the original bluing on the barrel and cylinder...only the ejector rod housing shows substantial loss of bluing. There is minor freckling on the exterior metal surfaces. There is even evidence of the high fired blue remaining on the scews and trigger. The bore shows amazing retention of its lands and grooves. The gun appears to be mechanically sound and functioning. The only significant flaw evident anywhere is on the upper front of the left ivory grip panel, which is missing a small piece (approximately 3/8" x 3/4")...which would not be difficult to repair (see pictures)...and, of course, it's these original ivory grips that make this speciman so rare (try to find a listing for another one!). All in all, a great addtion to any Colt SAA or Bisley collection. Due to the high value of this gun (and therefore the shipping insurance) this item will be $100 to ship (instead of our normal $50)
