James Purdey & Sons Best Side Lock Ejector Game Gun Over/Under .410 bearing serial number 30310. Completed in October 2007 for one of the early members of Cherokee Plantation who secured this shotgun for himself. The ultimate in a sporting Quail gun. One simply cannot find finer sporting game guns than those made by James Purdey & Sons. This is why we at Griffin & Howe have represented James Purdey & Sons in the USA since 1927. This example was built under the watchful eye of Chairman Nigel Beaumont. This magnificent example has remained in the care of original custodian until now. Annually maintained by Master Gunsmith Walter Eisserer former Griffin & Howe gunsmith from 1964 to 1968 moving on to work for himself and gaining a stellar reputation caring for many important fine sporting firearms collections. Purdey Ledger Description Notes: Large Scroll & Game Scene engraving by Able in coin finish with beaded-edge trigger-guard. Stocked with Prince of Wales grip & engraved metal cap.
