This is a hard to find Early Variation of a 1940 WW II US Property Marked Winchester Model 12 Shotgun.
Beautiful Original Winchester Blue.
The Receiver is marked on the left side with U.S. The US is larger than on the later contract Guns which are marked on the right side.
It has a 1940 Barrel Date. Barrel is marked Full. It is proofed with the Early Ornate Winchester Flaming Bomb. The stock is cartouched with the Ordinance Bomb and WB acceptance.The Forend and Stock are very nice.
