Description: General Specs: Tirmax, Year 1907-1914, 7.65mm, 5lb 15oz, LOP 14 3/16" Serial Number: 315 This is a TIRMAX Model 1907 - almost never seen this side of the Atlantic and rare even for the European side of things. Designed by Germans and made by Belgians, this sweet little repeater was only manufactured for a few years ending production at the onset of the Great War. Made in Liege, this deluxe example has a matted barrel and receiver, a cheek piece, flip up leaf sight, horn buttplate and fine checkering on its forend and pistol grip. Firing the caliber Browning 7.65mm (or in freedom units .32 ACP) in a recoil operated system makes the rifle very fast cycling and low recoil. For ease of cocking, the Tirmax features a thumb pre-cocking lever on the left-hand side of the action, which is an external extension of the concealed hammer. This Tirmax carbine is in great condition, retaining 99% of its original factory finish and complimented by a mirror bore with sharp rifling. It has sling mounts and sold with its vintage leather sling. Often advertised alongside its contemporary, the Dreyse Carbine, the Tirmax Model 1907 exudes fine workmanship and is altogether a charming rifle, enchanting all who have seen it. It is looking for its new home so do not hesitate as this gun will be soon gone. A unique gun, enjoy.
