Description:
This gun has a 24 inch full octagon barrel and a full length magazine tube. This gun features a deluxe fancy burl wood stock with a rifle style buttplate. The gun is beautifully engraved featuring 6 different themed scenes. There is a fox inside of a banner on one side and on the same side there is a stag elk engraved and in another banner there is a Labrador dog. On the opposite side engraved is an eagle sitting in a forest scene and another dog in a banner on the center case. The gun was originally gold gilted and still retains just traces of the gold gilting in the protected areas. All corners are sharp. Brass receiver where it has flaked off it has turned a real deep butterscotch patina color and there are no signs of buffing or polishing. The barrel has probably 25%-30% blue in the protected areas with sharp corners and good markings. The stock has a repair right in the wrist area just like all of these do. The didn't know what kind of wood they were using and they had the burl going right through the wrist and they all broke off right at the wrist area there. It has been excellently repaired appearing sound and solid and doesn't move and barely shows any signs of even having been repaired. Great little gun and will be a show stopper that is excellent and all original that is complete with original sling swivels and original sights.
