Offered for sale is an excellent condition, all original US Property, Brushed Blue, Colt 1911 manufactured in 1918. The serial number is 248334 with the JMG (J.M Gilbert) inspector acceptance stamp. This 1911 finish is Brushed Blue, prior to Black Army finish. I would rate the condition as 97-98%. All of the original Colt factory Brushed Blue is excellent with a few light light spots wear on the top of the slide. Even the original grip strap blue is excellent. There is no rust or pits and all the original markings are crisp and clear. All parts are original including the barrel and grips. The bore is also excellent nice with bright shine. All mechanics are smooth and you can tell that this great original 1911 was well cared for and fired very little if at all. The original grips and correct two tone magazine are great condition. This is a really nice collector grade 1911 US Property from 1918. C&R OK
