Excellent example of the very rare African Super Grade .458 Win. Mag. Only 1226 ever made! S/N 381*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. All of the unique "African" features are present and correct including Deluxe stock and furniture with 2 factory placed cross bolts, jeweled action components, Super Grade stamped floorplate, Lyman 37FA front sight used only on this caliber/style, elaborate and precise rear sight, 25" rust blued barrel with front swivel mount, etc. 99% Blue. 97-98% Varnish with some scattered impressions but nothing distracting and of course no gouges or cracks. The factory installed recoil pad is perfect and remains soft. The bore and mechanical function are flawless. A beautiful, unique, and super scarce rifle that does not come along too often.
