"Tryon .44 Caliber Belt Pistol. Approximately 5 ¾" octagon smooth bore barrel with good bore. Bright metal with light staining. Oval German silver on left with No 21 engraved on it. The stock is fine with no cracks or chips. The barrel is marked “Tryon-Philada". The lock is marked Tryon. The barrel is wedge-fastened. The iron ramrod is held by swivels under the barrel. The action functions correctly. This is a classic example of a well-made and popular belt pistol by Tryon who was a noted Philadelphia maker. Tryon made everything from belt pistols to muskets and rifles. This is a very nice Belt Pistol in excellent condition!
