This police bayonet ,walking out bayonet , has the k28 on scabbard & bayonet in three places ,this was the exceptance by the police that the quality of the bayonet meet their standard. The matching letters and number identify this bayonet as belonging to the KEONIGSBURG DISTRICT ,THE INITIALS FOR THIS DISTRICT IS S.K.g.1026. WHICH AGAIN IS ON THE SCABBARD AND THE BAYONET. This is a minty PAUL WEYERSBERS & CO. SOLINGEN MADE BAYONET. The stag horn grips are perfect as is the police eagle attached. Many of these were carried by the later SS when the police were given to Heinrich Himmler to run. The leather is strong and plyable, and the drag & throat are minty. The blade looks like it did when it poped out of the facty , as does the rest. One of the best examples I've ever seen.
