Description:
On Hold Sale Pending.(Wall hanger) This  US Springfield model 1816 lintlock, converted to percussion in the 1850s by the cone method in69 caliber, in wall hanger condition. The full 3 band  dark walnut stock is in fair conditions with numerous dents, dings, numerous drying cracks and a large chip to the left of the tang. The full length barrel is 42 inches. The lock is marked US Springfield with the American eagle and dated 1828. The lock does not function as the tumbler is broken at the face of the lock.  The metal condition is mostly brown with scattered pitting (the lower band and but plate are heavily pitted). The head of the tang screw is broke.  This old pre Civil war musket would make a good wall hanger.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.  Shipping will be actual cost by usps insured priority mail with tracking.
