Here's a Awsome Example of a Civil War Colt Dragoon with some Southern Flavor ! Serial number 18551 . Very rare 3rd Model with a 8" barrel. IDD to Pvt. James M. Underhill Florida 2nd Cavalry. Enlisted 2/1/ 1864 and stayed in till end of war ! Most all of the Dragoon production where made with a 7 1/2" barrel. Gun has 3 initials period applied on butt . Overall gun is in Very Good Plus Condition! The original finish had turned a very dark plum patina . Barrel markings are still strong . Cylinder had no scene left just traces . The back strap and brass trigger guard have some original Silver Finish still remaining ! Gun mechanically is in excellent condition. Original Walnut grips still have most of there original finish still remaining . Excellent Un-touched original example !
