SUPERB STEVENS FAVORITE .22 LONG RIFLE TAKEDOWN BOYS RIFLE. This is one of the best of these I've seen. Usually they were "loved to death" by the boys who were lucky enough to have one of these at the turn of the last century. This one retains about all the case colors on the receiver including the octagon receiver ring on top, has nearly all the deep barrel blue, excellent markings, and is fitted with a Lyman tang sight paired with a Lyman Beach folding globe front sight. The small nonadjustable gallery rear sight is also on the barrel. Excellent blue on the hammer and breech block. Excellent, unmarred stock and forend, Excellent black hard rubber "STEVENS FAVORITE" embossed butt plate. And, best of all, a bright and excellent bore. Only the lever spring is slightly weak. Not an uncommon rifle, but really uncommon in this pristine condition!
