"Northwest fur trade fusil, for the American Fur Trading Company. Lock is marked “1827. Barrel is marked “London" and has the fox in a circle on the top barrel flat with London next to the fox with the circle. The lock has a fox or dog in a cartouche with the letter “I" with the second letter not legible, unidentifiable. Barrel length is 42" with overall length of 58½". Bore is approximately .58 caliber. The serpent on the left side has three screws. Barrel shows light pitting and patina on the round parts and deeper pitting on the octagon part. Ramrod has two pipes. Overall very good condition
