This is a nice specimen of what was happening after Korea. This Plainfied Machine Co M1Carbine was chambered to 22 Spitfire (5.7 Johnson). Plainfield made tese from 1962 and by the 3 digit sei number was probably a fairly early one.There is one magazine and 7 loaded rounds as well as the loading date sheet for it. I don't know too much about it. It came to me out of an estate about 5 years ago and has lived quietly since then. I did try and feed and chamber a round and it fif fine. I have NOT fired it but certainly looks worthy. Stock is nice, especially for the age. The bore is good and sharp. Would make a nice addition to any collection Insured shipping $45 to CONUS.
