Description:
Beautiful custom built 20ga hammer gun made in 2002 with full factory documentation and correspondence from the original purchaser on this order. Made with 28" fluid steel barrels, checkered splinter forend with Deeley release. Gun made with extractors, double triggers, straight grip stock, auto safety. Finely point pattern checkered European Walnut buttstock with beautiful grain and figure terminates with checkered butt that has horn heel and toe plates. Coin finished action is beautifully engraved with fantastic flushing woodcock on left lock surrounded by finely executed scroll. Bottom of action is beautifully scroll engraved with retriever bust with fallen woodcock in its mouth. Right lock plate with flushing grouse surrounded by well executed scroll. Extremely fine grouse engraved on top lever all surrounded by fine scroll. The gun is housed in its original cased which is a fine Nizoli case with red felt interior.
Overall, the gun remains in near mint original condition with more than 98% original barrel blue. The coin finish is superb with only very very minor staining noted, engraving is crisp and unworn. The stocks are sound and retain virtually all of their original finish with over very minor handling marks. The case is excellent to near mint with only minor rub marks.
