Description:
Sold : to the man in NY state. /. Its written somewhere that fewer than 900 of these were ever built. This one has had its stocks and rear sight personalized by a professional. The gun is in very good condition and has a very nice feel to it. The bore is rough but it has rifling and will still shoot accurately. I found that the barrel has an ever so slight bulge just forward of the octagonal flats. I dont know why this is.I also dont know if the stocks were done with Ivory or some other type of tusk/bone material, but they have aged beautifully. I was going to rebarrel this into 22 mag and hunt with it, but my gunsmith told me he would bannish me to Portland if I did -- as they are so rare and seldom found this clean.
