Description:
For sale is one (1) German WW2 P.38 hardshell holster by Albin Scholle. Back of holster is marked "fsx 42" WaA445 and the P38 stamp. Color is black cowhide, this maker used copper rivets on the cover flap exterior plate, but only on the '42 hardshells. Copper rivets are scarce on hardshell P.38 holsters. On the flap interior, are 2 faint green stamps, but no longer legible. Lift strap is present and secure to the holster. Left belt strap on back has a stiching repair to the top, and probably from wartime as to the appearance of age of the thread. Right belt loop top stitching has pulled out, but is still present with no repairs attempted. Front exterior has a weathered look on the closing lid and some of that look on the lower body. The back still has good color and a less worn look than front. Back perimeter stitching is all original and is tight. Front body and magazine pouch stitching is all original and tight.
