Description:
This is a mechanically excellent, but cosmetically challenged Model 62A Winchester 22 pump gun. This is not a collector quality piece, but would make an excellent hunting rifle, or a relatively easy restoration project. The original metal surfaces are scattered with corrosion that is mostly on the surface, and would require little polishing. The original stocks are are in great shape, with only minor blemishes, and no cracks or signs of sanding. The original butt plate is intact, with a small melt spot shown in pic. 7. The S/N's match on the 2 halves of this T/D gun, and all the script and proof marks are clear. The bore is excellent, and the barrel carries the original sight package. This rifle shoots the 22 S,L,andLR cartridges interchangeably. The S/N indicates a manufacture date if 1953. This little 22 takes down and reassembles easily and tightly as designed. I prefer a Postal Money Order, unless otherwise agreed.
