Vintage German 16 ga. SN 13280 hammerless boxlock shotgun, nicely engraved with traditional Germanic Style Engraving. Top of the barrel is chisel engraved Hans Bleisteiner Lauf AD Pegnitz probably the original owner which the gun was made for in Pegnitz Bavania Germany otherwise unmarkedboxlock shotgun. The barrel is further stampedNitro and Prima Krupp Stahl on both sides, the flats with various proofs including bore designation, choke bore barrels, pre 1939 definitive proof and cylinder bore shot. In front of flats is matching serial number,Flussstahl-Krupp-Essen and eagle crown S smoothbore proof. Features of the shotgun include matte rib, cocking indicators, double triggers, sling swivels and walnut stocks. Pistol grip buttstock is finely checkered at the wrist withincorporated cheek piece capped in horn to match trigger guard unfinished shortening with no buttplate. Receiver is 95% engraved coverage in floral tendrils with bordered deer and hunt dog panel scenes on each side, light engraving onbreech end of 29 3/4" long barrels, 2 9/16th chambers matching engraving on forend hardware. Stock has been refinished and a pad has been added. Action functions nicely with good bores.
