Description:
This is an original GI issued 30 M1 Carbine. I have field stripped performed an initial cleaning and test fired this carbine. It is in perfect functional condition. The bore is in very good condition and has a shinny finish. below the adjustable rear sight the receiver is stamped by IBM Corp (Internation Business Machines) and has the AO stamp indicating it was manufactured at the Auto Ordinance plant for them. The parrel has the Winchester Proof WP with a oval over it. The trigger group has an inland stamp on it. The front the Bayonet / sling swivel has a W stamp on it I believe for Winchester. I'm not certain Which parts IBM used from there own plant but as I understand 19 parts ere normally donated for IBM in the making of this rifle. I have pictures of this rifle with the stock off please e-mail me if interested. There is no pitting below the wood and the rifle actually shows to be in much better cosmetic shape in the areas you cannot see. Great shooter and piece of history. Comes with a15 rd magazine.
