Here's a little fellow that has been around for 102 years. From his looks and condition he'll be around another 102 years for some lucky hunter ! I
bought this gun at the Louisville gun show , from another vendor just as it is today.
I'm amazed as to the overall condition of this rifle. Only shows very slight handling marks on wood or metal. I don't think this gun has seen much use at all. We took it apart looking for whatever, dirt ,corrosion, rust, wear, we found nothing . No sign of wear .
The gun is as it came from factory, no new holes ,no sawed off stock, etc. Finish is excellent, even the color on the lever is great.
As you know , Savage built a classic when they built the 99.
