Description:
Up for sale is ONE OF THE FIRST SWEET SIXTEENS! This is an extremely rare STEALTH or GHOST SWEET SIXTEEN Browning 16 gauge shotgun. This gun was manufactured in 1938 in Belgium and has been authenticated by the Browning Arms historian(See letter). This gun is completely original, no re-bluing, no wood restoration(no cracks). It is in amazing condition for a gun this old. As per the "Sweet Sixteen" parameters, this gun has a suicide safety, hollow butt stock, machined receiver and unlike most sweet sixteens, this gun has a 5 hole barrel ring instead of 3 which suggests it is a prototypical model. It is chambered in 2 9/16". This gun has an approximate weight of 6.5 lbs where the standard sixteens are 7 lbs. Etching of "Sweet Sixteen" on the left side of the receiver didn't occur until 1948.
