Mauser Model 1896 Broomhandle fitted with a 5.2 inch barrel, 25 groove wood grips, is blue finished, and chambered in 7.63 Mauser (.30 Mauser). The frame, lock mechanism frame, and hammer retain the same serial number (33448). The barrel does not number to the frame (serial number 813301), is from a late early Model 1930 Commercial, and the bolt does not number to the pistol (stamped number 123). The pistol is in good condition, retaining 60% blue (probably an old reblue). The bore shows very faint rifling, almost a smooth bore, with some minor corrosion. I am unable to take the grips off, but they are in very good condition, with no cracks or major chipping. A decent example of its type.
