Description:
**SOLD** Winchester Model 55 .30 WCF lever action rifle, dated to 1925, 2nd year of production for these rifles. This rifle features a Model 1894 style lever action mechanism, with a blued finish and smooth walnut furniture, along with a 1/2 length magazine tube and a shotgun style steel buttplate. The rifle is a takedown model, and can be easily broken down via the magazine tube screwing out of the frame, and the barrel rotated out. The barrel is a lightweight rapid taper, creating a very well balanced rifle when shouldered. The rifle is in excellent working order witha very smooth action, a nice trigger and a great bore, as shown. The rifle appears to have been reblued as some point, however, luckily, the rifles' markings are not severely scooped out from polishing. The loading gate looks to have been nickel plated as well.
