Description: This spectacular Ruger No.1 rifle was made in the 3rd year of production in 1969 and remains in 100% original condition. Introduced in 1966, the Ruger No.1 rifle was one of the firm's flagship models, hand-built with the finest materials by the finest gunsmiths that Ruger employed. The fit and finish and attention to detail was second to none. The No.1 Standard Model features a falling-block single-shot action operated by a curved Farquharson lever, a beautiful high-gloss blue factory finish, a 26" inch barrel with a quarter rib and integral scope base, a tang-mounted safety lever and a hand-checkered American Walnut stock set with a semi-beavertail forearm. This particular Ruger is serial number 6908 and is chambered in .243 Winchester with a 26" inch barrel. All of the stock hardware including the factory installed sling swivel studs, pistol grip cap, and red Ruger recoil pad are in excellent condition.
