Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “GOVERNMENT / -MODEL-", "COLT", "AUTOMATIC / CALIBER 9MM” and with a rampant colt logo, the right is marked “COMPETITION SERIES”. The right of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and with the serial number. The top of the barrel is marked “-COLT 9MM LUGER NM-“. The left of the trigger guard is marked “VP” in triangle and “W”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a blade with a red fiber-optic insert dovetailed to the front of the slide. The rear sight is a Novak square notch adjustable for elevation dovetailed and screw-set to the rear of the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece checkered blue and black G10 panels with Colt logos in the middle and smooth diamonds around the grip screws. The top diamond on the left panel is interrupted by a thumb-groove at the magazine release. The grips have no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion but there is some stubborn fouling.
Overall Condition: This pistol retains about 99% of its metal finish. There are light handling marks one scratch where the slide release was slid into place and created a scratch, no major defects. There is standard operational wear. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This pistol has a tight slide and a crisp trigger. This pistol was NOT made with a firing pin block safety (series ’80). We did not fire this pistol.
