Smoothbore Springfield flintlock in .69 cal as the original.patterened after the French Charleville infantry weapon of the period that saw action through the War of 1812 and into the percussion era and early years of the Civil War. All original specifications are tight including barrel, stock, trigger, furniture, markings, lock, steel banding, sling swivels, steel ramrod and front sight. Wood is well shaped, all metal bright and unblemished and fitment is very good. Lock and frizzen work perfectly (if stiff), drilled vent but never fired.
