Description:
For sale is a Winchester 1885 high wall Type 2 musket that has been relined and bored to .22 Hornet. The liner is .224 and I believe it to be a 1 in 16 twist. The bore is shiney and like new. The metal has some dings and scratches with the most noticeable dings pictured. There has been two sets of 6-48 scope mounting holes drilled in the barrel. The lever has been replaced by a schuetzen style piece. There may have been a double set trigger group installed at one time but now has a crisp plain trigger. The stocks have some dings and scratches with some of them covered with a refinish coating. The buttplate has two additional hole which I believe was to accomodate a swiss style shoulder brace. The gun will ship UPS ground with insurance and tracking. Ensure your FFL will accept a transfer from a private individual. If a FFL shipper is required add $25 to the sale price. No sales to California or Hawaii. Alaska sales require additional costs.
