European Rifle Musket Similar Swiss Model 1851 Federal Percussion Carbine
.45 Caliber 19th Century Precision Rifle
Here we present an antique European Rifle Musket, very similar to the Swiss Model 1851 Federal Percussion Carbine. This rifle has the same form factor as the Swiss example and is likely also Swiss in origin as there were non-military rifles in this form factor as well. This one has an octagonal barrel that transitions to hexagonal at the muzzle end. Full-length stock. Double set trigger. This one has been equipped with very neat front and rear sights that give the gun a ghost ring sight presentation. The lock is of military style and all overbuilt.
The overall condition is very good. Strong action with double set triggers. Even, brown finish on the barrel. Bright bore with sharp rifling. The stock is solid with an average amount of wear and contains minor dents and dings. A great rifle that should shoot very well!
