Description:
Offered for sale is an early S&W Single Action Model 3 in .44 cal. with 6 1/2" barrel. This S&W has an EXCELLENT bright bore, great action as well and tight frame to barrel. Nice patina gun with traces of original blue in the protected areas. Ser.# 32748 on bottom of gripstrap and back of cylinder. This gun also has the scarce barrel address with NO Patent dates, only "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A.". A nice, early S&W that is an ANTIQUE according to Flaydermans guide pg.235. This is the model S&W that Bob Ford used to kill Jesse James reportedly. There is the number 51 faintly scratched into the lower left frame that is barely noticable, but there nonetheless.
