This listing is for a really nice BROWNING HIGH POWER-Made and fitted in Belgium (not in Portugal). This beautiful pre-owned pistol is an early Mark III ( Cal. 9mm Luger), made in 1989 and was made and fitted in Belgium with the forged steel frame (not the later guns with cast steel frames)-see photos. This pistol is a commercial model and not a well used and refinished military or police surplus gun as many are on the current market. My research from many sources indicate that my pistol is an early Mark III and not a late Mark II. My pistol's features are identical to the Mark III features shown in the Hi Power "bible": "The Shooter's Guide to the Browning Hi Power, Revised Ed. (2011) by Stephen A. Camp. My pistol's Serial No. is: 245PN65688 is matching on both the barrel and the grip frame-see photos. This pistol has the ambidextrous safety levers, squared off enlarged ejection port and the 3 white bar sighting system and the straight feed/ throated chamber to better feed hollow point bullets. PLEASE NOTE: NO MAGAZINE SAFETY ON THIS PISTOL, my gunsmith removed it to improve the trigger pull-this means, this pistol can be fired without the magazine inserted into the gun, as this is the preferred preferrance by most American shooters. This pistol also has expensive and well fitting genuine Cocobola wood grips-see photos. I have owned this pistol for many years and have only shot quality brass cased commercial ammunition (no steel case, military surplus or reloads) and the gun functions and shoots great! The gun comes with 2 magazines: a high quality 13 round (unmarked)s magazine that came with the gun, but I do not know who made it and a genuine Browning 10 round magazine that I bought new after I bought the gun. These 2 magazines are well tested and perform correctly. If the buyer lives in a Restricted State for hi cap mags, they will not get the 13 rd. mag, only the 10 rd. mag and there will be no extra discount. This pistol is in excellent condition overall and I believe the gun finish is the original black matte epoxy finish, but since I bought the gun used, it is just my opinion. The pistol shows that it has been well cared for over the years and the action is tight and the bore is excellent as well. My opinion is the gun has not been shot much and it shows that inside and out. Why buy a gun from a seller who has never even fired the gun? This pistol is basically, the last of the old time Belgian Browning High Powers and is now, in my opinion, a great shooting pistol with great future appreciation in value. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS THE BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO KNOW IF THEY ARE LEGALLY ALLOWED TO BUY AND OWN THIS FIREARM IN THEIR CITY, COUNTY AND STATE.
