Springfield M1 Semi automatic Garand Service Grade certified by the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP).
This USGI Springfield CMP certified M1 Garand "Service Grade" is a must have for any avid gun collector. Rifles of this vintage saw action in World war II, Korean War and early Viet Nam War. The M1, used throughout Europe and the Pacific during WWII , became the envy of the world with General George Patton describing it as “The best battle implement ever devised.”
It has been inspected, refurbished, and tested by CMP.
Comes with hard plastic padded full length guncase marked CMP, Instruction pamphlet, safety device, enblock clip, safety lock and anti rust strip.
All marked parts are marked Springfield.
MFG December, 1944. Rebarreled January. 1955. Barrel looks new with very little wear measuring 1 at muzzle and 1+ at breech according to CMP measurements. Shiny bore through out with no rust or corrosion.
Inspectors mark on left stock below reciever.
Fully functional and will be a great and accurate shooter.
Handling dings on stock with no cracks. Buttplate good, opens for cleaning kit storage.
