Manufactured circa 1867-1868, this is an example of Type I, Transitional (aka Model 1 First Variant) over/under Remington derringer. Remington manufactured only about 100 of these derringers. All nickel finish, blade front, and notch rear sights and fitted with black grips. There is rust over most of the firearm.
