Description:
This sale offers a William Powell & Son 12 Ga., serial number 11284. The gun is equipped with 30” damascus barrels chambered for 2 ½” shells and choked cylinder and cylinder. The barrel wall thickness measuring 9” from the breech is 0.050 and 9” from the muzzle measure 0.025. The bores are good. The top rib is marked William Powell & Son, 35 Carr’s Lane, Birmingham. The right ejector is inoperative and needs attention. The finish on the receiver has turned to a silver patina. The English walnut straight grip stock is in very good condition and is equipped with a Kick Eez recoil pad. The stock dimensions are LOP 13 ¾”, DAC 1 3/8”and DAH 1 5/8”. Overall, the gun is in very good condition. For those who enjoy upland hunting with vintage guns, at 6 lbs. 6 oz., this would be ideal.
