Payment Types Accepted: Postal Money Order Description:   This is an early (pre model 23?) Savage Sporter that chambers the 22LR cartridge. These rifles were known for their accuracy, as they were built with a relatively heavy tapered 23" barrel. This one is more then likely around 100 yesrs old, with a S/N of 46519. But she still has the original sight package, butt plate, and magazine marked 23 Sporter or NRA Match Rifle. This rifle does not have any extra holes from mounting a scope, or sling. The bore is in good shape, and all the barrel markings are crisp and clear.
