TOWER 3RD MODEL BROWN BESS FLINTLOCK MUSKET CIRCA 1805-10. 39” round .75 cal. smoothbore barrel with Birmingham proofs at left breech and with Liege proof at top of barrel 4” from breech. Lock plate tale stamped “TOWER” with the George III cypher forward of the hammer. A reconversion to flintlock of a Liege production Volunteer Brown Bess during the Napoleonic Wars. Handsome display item in very nice condition. All original except hammer and frizzen assembly which are professionally aged correct reproductions. Brass side plate and ramrod aged reproductions as well. Original sling swivels. Excellent very crisp metal finish and stock very good to fine as well. Lock in working order and excellent bore. Very handsome restored Napoleonic Wars and War of 1812 musket.
