Description:
A really nice pre64 standard weight rifle from 1949. The metal finish is very good with no pitting or significant blueing loss anywhere. Stock has oil finish. Original metal butt plate. The bore is extremely nice. I tried to take a picture but it is so bright my camera could not adjust to the light. Rifling appears as new as well as I can estimate what new looked like in 1949. I have no idea how this barrel was maintained so well over the decades. The rifle is shown with a Redfield 70' peep sight which does not require an inleting of the stock. I will sell the rifle with or without the sight. A $100 discount if the peep is not desired and I will put on a standard Lyman 6 folding sight dovetailed into the sight blank on the barrel. The price includes insured shipping to your FFL. Additional pictures upon request. 3 day inspection allowed but if the gun is transfered then it cannot be returned.
