Smith & Wesson 38 S&W Safety Hammer-less 3rd model DA, 4” barrel, nickle frame and barrel, Gutta Percha grips. Very nice gun in perfect working order! SN is 100XXX. Factory finish on metal, factory grips. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 98% original nickel with smooth surface throughout, crisp action, sharp markings. In technical terms this would be the S&W Safety Hammerless New Departure Top Break Revolver in cal. 38 S&W. The mechanical function is perfect and the bore is bright and shiny. The pivot pin and everything is solid and tight. Safety Hammerless 2nd Model ' Vintage top-break double-action-only concealed hammer. Features a ribbed barrel with the barrel address on the top rib, pinned round blade front sight, 'u' notched rear sight, fluted five-shot cylinder with automatic extractor, smooth trigger, concealed hammer, knurled grip safety, blued trigger guard.
