Payment Types Accepted: check, money order Description: Tula Russian SKS Type 45 Rifle. The Commie Classic of the Cold War! This excellent condition Cold War vintage (1954) semi-automatic rifle features a blindingly-bright, mirror-like bore, and excellent condition wood furniture and metal (see pics). The rifle is matching as shown. Manufactured at the fabled Tula armory at the height of the Cold War in 1954--a year that witnessed the birth of the KGB, the Senator Joe McCarthy Army Hearings, the launching of the first nuclear submarine, the American Nautilus, and the defeat of the French by the Communist Viet Minh at Dien Bien Phu. The SKS (Samozaryadny Karabin Simoneva) was developed by Sergie Simonov in 1945 and served the Soviet Union as its main battle rifle until the mid 1950s when it eventually was replaced by the AK 47 which also uses the same 7.62x39 cartridge.. The Russian SKS was replicated by many Soviet Bloc countries (China, Albania, Yugoslavia, East Germany, Romania, and North Korea) but none have the nostalgia and, in my opinion, value as the original Russian SKS. Ships only to where legal and to FFL which must accept transfers from non-FFL holder. Price plus $45 shipping. Please reveiw pictures closely and ask me any questions. Thanks for looking!
