Description:
For your consideration , An extremely Rare / Unique opportunity to purchase possibly a one of a kind Parker ! As you can see by the letter this PH Grade 20 Gauge Parker left Meriden in 1917 with Twist Steel Barrels 25 1/2 " Long  ! Not only is it a Rare Gun being a PH 20 Gauge the Barrel Length is extremely Unique for a Parker Brothers Shotgun !  The Holy Grail of Parker Collectors are the Books known as The Parker Story and in the listings for PH Grade 20 Gauge guns ,there are two 25" barreled 20 Gauge Ph Grades listed  ,this may be one of those two or it could possibly be the One and Only  since it left the factory as a 25 1/2" Barreled gun ,I have a Tape Measure laying on the Barrels .Please Notice they Measure a little more than 25 3/8 ,they retain the Horizontal cut line in front of the bead so it is plain to see they have not been cut ,they may have been cleaned up a little and lost a sixteenth or so ,that I can't say for sure but it is not uncommon in the Parker World for the measurement to be off by a sixteenth or even an eight of an inch  ! It is in very nice overall condition but not entirely without a couple of minor issues . The Receiver Screws could use a little attention and some one must not have liked the idea of this gun having " Twist Steel Barrelsl as they scratched off the Words " Twist Steel " on the Barrel legend as you can see in the pictures ! And the only other small issue is there is a tiny chip on the left side of the forend under the  edge of the barrel ! This little Gem is built on the standard 20 Gauge O Frame ,the Dimensions are , DAC 1 1/2" , DAH 2 5/8 and the LOP is 14 3/8" !
The overall weight of the gun is 6 LB. 12 Oz. and it has nice solid wood with nice figure for a P Grade and retains its Original Dogs Head Butt Plate ! This little gun will be a Wonderful addition to any collection ! As for the chokes ,the letter lists them as Cyl. and Mod. ,I do not own a Bore Micrometer to measure them but I do own a Hosford Barrel Wall Thickness gauge and Minimum wall thickness is 34 Thousants in both Barrels so plenty stout and they Ring like Church bells  ! I am pricing this gun so there will be money left on the table to have the screws touched up and the Legend engraved back on if you desire and still not be upside down once those couple of items are complete ! I am asking $ 4350.00 Plus $ 80.00 Shipping ! If you have any questions about this gun ,feel free to give me a call at " 724-205-1076 or drop me an e-mail ,all questions will be answered !  This gun qualifies for C&R  if you are a C&R License Holder or must be shipped to Your FFL ! Thank You for considering my Sales !    Russ
