Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. This is an original Generation 2 Glock 21. The Glock 21 was originally introduced in 1990. The Glock 20 in 10 mm Auto was used as the starting point for the G21. The barrel featured an octagonal bore rather than the usual hexagonal bore. One notable advantage of the G21 over its competitors was magazine capacity for those who live states that do not restrict magazine capacity. The pistol holds 13 rounds in the mag plus one in the chamber. Only a few other pistols match or exceed this capacity as standard. The reason being is that most U.S. manufacturers did not want to produce two different mags, one a 10 rounder for restricted states and a standard capacity mag for free states. Instead, a 10 rounder comes standard. Again, there are a few exceptions to this rule such as the Para-Ordnance P14 and its descendants, the FN FNX-45, and the H&K Mark 23. This pistol has the standard Gen 2 finish. Contrary to what many believe, Tenifer is NOT a type of finish. It is, in fact, a heat treatment which the gun’s steel undergoes, and which hardens the steel and protects it from corrosion, heat, and wear. After the slide is treated with Tenifer, a finish can be added. For Gen 1 and 2 Glocks, the type of finish used is called Parkerizing, also known as phosphate conversion coating. It has the appearance of a rough, non-glare, gray finish. The pistol, retains the original night sights it was sent out from the factory with. Unfortunately, as is the case with night sights, they have become dim over time. Fortunately, replacements are not hard to come by, especially given the massive aftermarket support for Glock pistols. The G21 Gen 2 is in excellent shape and appears to have seen little use. The magazine has a tendency to catch when dropping the mag. It comes with its original plastic Glock box (the old version without a carry handle), a spare magazine, mag loading tool, manual, and cleaning rod and brush.
